ABOUT US

Founded in 1982, Kings Newton Bowls Club is situated on the edge of the historic market town of Melbourne in the heart of South Derbyshire.

We’re a friendly, well-established crown green bowls club with a growing base of over 100 members, with nine teams participating in South Derbyshire, Belper and Burton leagues alongside regular inter-club competitions and social bowling sessions.

The club holds regular social and fundraising events throughout the year. Some say we’ve got the best beer garden for miles – but don’t just take our word for it! Our clubhouse bar is open to all, with locally brewed Tollgate Brewery ales on draught and a full range of competitively-priced bottled beers, ciders, wines and spirits.

New to the club? Enjoy your first visit on us. Join us for a Sunday afternoon open session and one of our friendly members will be happy to show you the ropes.
